Machina turns a technician's evidence into ranked possibilities.

Codes, symptoms, live data and the technician's own notes go in; a ranked list of things to verify comes out, with the reasoning shown. It runs on the shop's own computer and keeps working when the internet drops. It advises. The technician decides.

What Machina is built to do

Evidence in, hypotheses out
Fault codes, freeze-frame data, symptoms and history become a ranked set of possibilities, each with the evidence for and against it.
Confidence you can read
Every hypothesis carries a band (high, medium or low), with the number as a footnote, never a verdict.
Local by design
The model, the knowledge base and every record live on the shop's machine. Online, it looks the vehicle up by VIN with NHTSA; offline, it keeps working from what it already has.

The technician decides, every time

A typed confirmation before any action
The software never commands a vehicle on its own. Running an actuator test or clearing codes asks for a typed confirmation, and stopping is always one click that never asks.
A hypothesis, not an answer
Machina frames what it says as something to verify. The screen says so.

Where Machina is today, said plainly

Machina is a private prototype: a working desktop application used to prove the reasoning and the safety rules, not a product a shop can buy yet. It stays local for now; a distributed version is being prepared so it is easier to install when the time comes.
